The Centre for Corporate Communications of UniMAP, together with the Perlis Journalists Association (PWP), organised the Singgah Sahur Program to reach out to those on duty throughout the night in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community, as a token of appreciation for the sacrifices of front-line personnel.
The program, which was also attended by the Vice-Chancellor of UniMAP, Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Zaliman Sauli, involved the distribution of 350 sahur meal packs at nine locations around Perlis. These included the Arau Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), UniMAP Security Post, the General Operations Force (PGA) Roadblock Post in Chuping, PGA Camp Padang Besar, and the Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security Complex (ICQS) Padang Besar.
Other locations visited were the PGA Roadblock Post at Sungai Chuchuh, Tuanku Fauziah Hospital (HTF), the Civil Defence Force of Malaysia (APM) Office, and the Perlis Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK).
This initiative reflects UniMAP’s support and appreciation for the dedication of front-line personnel who serve at all hours for the well-being of the people and the safety of the nation.
